About Whisker & Tail

After 15 years working in corporate America for high level executives, Jan Bak decided to follow her passion of working with dogs. She knew about running successful businesses, how to provide services to loyal clients, and how to efficiently and effectively multitask. But she wanted to know everything she could about the pet grooming industry.

So in 1988, Whisker & Tail Dog Grooming was born in Schaumburg Illinois. Jan obtained her education as a cetified professional groomer, and ran her business until her twins were born. She looked for a way to combine being a mother to her three children and maintaining her busy shop. At that point, the business changed its name to Whisker & Tail Mobile Dog Grooming, one of the first mobile grooming salons in the Chicagoland Area. Since then, she has had multiple vehicles, one improving upon another, to provide the best service and care for your dog.

Whisker & Tail uses premium organic shampoos, conditoners, and fragrances, with the utmost importance being your dog's comfort. Jan maintains staying at the top of education by attending seminars, conferences, and will be begin studying for her Master's Degree in Companion Animal Behavior Analysis. Jan looks foward to being an integral part of caring for your family's best four footed friend.
